The 40.25-inch octagonal blued steel barrel and 1:66 twist are configured for traditional patched round ball. The single-shot flintlock ignition uses a right-hand side-lock, staying true to classic long-rifle form while providing reliable spark generation with the installed flint.
Double-set triggers offer a crisp, tunable release. Sighting is straightforward with a dovetailed front blade and a drift-adjustable rear open sight, allowing fine windage corrections at the range.
The full-length hardwood stock is paired with brass furniture, including an ornate long patchbox, crescent buttplate, toe plate, nosecap, and ramrod pipes. Decorative brass inlays—star-shaped forearm inlays, heart-shaped wrist inlays, and a star cheek inlay—add period-style detailing. The barrel is secured with a wedge-key retention system.
Markings include "OLD SAYBROOK, CT, U.S.A., MADE IN SPAIN." This is a reproduction Pennsylvania long rifle pattern with a 13.5-inch length of pull and a blued finish throughout. Capacity is one round, consistent with traditional muzzleloader operation.
