The 16.12 in chrome-moly steel barrel is cold hammer-forged with a heavy contour, fluted to reduce weight, and threaded 1/2x28 for muzzle devices. It uses a 1:10 RH twist and six-groove rifling. A protected blade front sight pairs with an adjustable ghost-ring rear for fast, durable iron-sight alignment.
Ruger’s takedown system is designed to return to zero after reassembly, enhancing repeatability. The aluminum-alloy receiver wears a Type III hard-coat anodized finish and integrates a receiver-top Picatinny rail, where the included Crimson Trace micro red dot is mounted.
The semi-automatic, blowback-operated action uses a tungsten-weighted dead-blow system. Controls are user-configurable with a reversible charging handle and reversible magazine release, and a cross-bolt safety provides straightforward operation.
