Built on the proven AR-15 platform, this M&P-15 uses a semi-automatic, direct-impingement system chambered in 5.56 NATO with a 30+1 capacity. The 16-inch barrel is threaded and capped with an A2 flash suppressor. A carbine-length gas system with a fixed A2 front sight base and bayonet lug completes the classic, reliable configuration.
The flat-top upper receiver provides a T-marked Picatinny rail, forward assist, ejection-port cover, and case deflector. It carries M&P15 rollmarks on the receiver and a non-ambidextrous selector. The manual safety is straightforward and familiar.
Upgrades include a Magpul MOE M-LOK polymer carbine handguard and a Magpul CTR adjustable stock with friction lock, QD sling cup, and rubber buttpad. The A2-style polymer grip rounds out the furniture. Length of pull is 13 inches.
An installed Firefield Barrage 2.5-10x40 scope sits on a Picatinny riser for proper height over bore. The scope uses a crosshair reticle with dot/hash stadia, offering a useful magnification range for general carbine use. A fixed A2 front sight is present; no rear sight is installed.
