The P229 Legion platform brings premium construction and tuned ergonomics to a compact, duty-capable 9mm. This example pairs a CNC-milled stainless-steel slide with an aluminum-alloy frame, both wearing the Legion gray PVD finish. The 3.9-inch barrel and compact profile balance carry-friendly dimensions with shootability, while the integral three-slot accessory rail supports lights or lasers.
Controls and trigger performance are a highlight. It is a DA/SA, hammer-fired pistol with a decocking lever and separate slide catch on the left side. The Short-Reset Trigger (SRT) combines with a Grayguns adjustable trigger to deliver a refined, repeatable press and fast reset that experienced shooters appreciate.
Sight acquisition is straightforward in varied lighting thanks to the X-RAY3 day/night sights, featuring a high-visibility green front dot and a two-dot tritium rear. The slide includes front and rear serrations, plus professional aftermarket milling for an ACRO-pattern closed-emitter optic pocket with a cross-bolt feature. Aftermarket Milled for Aimpoint ACRO P2; no optic is installed.
Legion-series ergonomics include a reduced, contoured beavertail, front strap and trigger guard checkering, and black/gray G10 grips with inset Legion medallions. Together, these provide a confident purchase and consistent hand placement under recoil.
This P229 Legion is chambered in 9mm Luger with a 17+1 capacity and comes with nine magazines: five 17-round and four 15-round steel double-stack mags, offering a practical mix of standard and extended lengths for range or duty setups. Made in the United States.
