The P226 Elite configuration adds practical, grip-focused enhancements to the classic full-size P226. The extended beavertail frame and factory front-strap checkering support consistent control, while the reversible magazine release accommodates user preference without tools.
This pistol uses a short-recoil, locked-breech operating system and a DA/SA trigger with a decocking lever for the manual of arms. Capacity is 15+1, and the 4.4 in barrel delivers the standard P226 balance and sight radius.
Sights are dovetailed tritium 3-dot night sights for low-light visibility. Both front and rear units are dovetailed for secure installation.
The slide is matte stainless with front and rear cocking serrations. The alloy frame wears a matching matte stainless finish and includes an accessory rail. Checkered wood grip panels with SIG medallions round out the factory configuration.
