Built at Geværfabrikken Kjøbenhavn (Copenhagen Arsenal), this M/1889 retains the correct long-rifle configuration with a forged steel receiver and the signature Krag side-hinged magazine cover. The internal single-column side magazine provides a 5+1 capacity while maintaining the rifle’s slim profile.

Key parts carry matching serial numbers, observed on the receiver, barrel shank, rear sight base, nose cap/bayonet bar, and stock. The front end features the bayonet bar/nosecap assembly under the muzzle.
It wears an oil-finished, full-length hardwood stock with sling swivels and a stock disc. Sight regulation is via a fixed front post and a ladder/tangent rear sight. The bolt-action system includes a bolt-mounted safety and the characteristic smooth Krag feed system.
