The EMP architecture is purpose-built around 9mm, reducing the frame front-to-back by about 1/8 in for a more compact, micro-size 1911 profile. Its forged stainless slide wears a matte/satin finish, while the forged aluminum alloy frame carries a black hardcoat anodized finish for a durable two-tone look.
The 3.25 in forged stainless, match-grade bull barrel is bushingless, ramped, and fully supported, with a 1:16 twist for reliable 9mm performance in a compact format. A dual captive recoil spring on a full-length guide rod manages the short-slide cycle.
Controls and ergonomics include an ambidextrous thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety with memory bump, a skeletonized three-hole trigger, and a skeletonized Commander-style hammer. Checkering on the front strap and mainspring housing, along with thin-profile gray/black G10 grips, provide a confident hold.
Trijicon-marked 3-dot tritium night sights offer low-light visibility. The slide features front and rear cocking serrations and a lowered and flared ejection port. Capacity is 9+1, and this example ships with three factory EMP magazines. This specific configuration, cataloged as PI9210LP, is no longer in current production.
