The PSAK-74S uses a semi-automatic, long-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt on the AK-74 platform. Its 16.2 in barrel is threaded 24x1.5mm RH and fitted with an AK-74 two-chamber muzzle brake, with a 90-degree gas block for the correct AK-74 profile and function.
The receiver is stamped steel with magazine-well dimples and a standard rivet pattern. Selector markings read S-A-F, and factory roll marks clearly identify the make, model, and caliber. Matching assembly numbers are present, with the last four digits repeated on the receiver and trunnion.
Furniture includes glossy red wood handguards and a glossy red checkered pistol grip. The polymer stock folds to the right and features a smooth, solid buttplate with a push-button latch. Length of pull is 12.75 in.
