Built on the AKM platform, this Sporter features a stamped sheet-steel receiver with a matte black finish and a 16.3 in barrel chambered in 7.62x39. The long-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt delivers traditional AK operation in a full-size configuration.
The steel underfolding stock uses a two-strut design with a pushbutton latch, providing a compact folded profile and a 12.5 in length of pull when deployed. Ergonomics are complemented by a black polymer pistol grip with molded texture, a black polymer lower handguard with longitudinal ribs, and a smooth black polymer upper handguard (gas tube cover).
For sighting and accessory interfaces, the rifle retains the AKM front post (open-ear block). The traditional rear sight leaf is replaced by a full-length Picatinny railed dust cover from ME Military Equipment (made in Ukraine). A left-side AK optics side rail is riveted to the receiver, giving additional mounting options.
The barrel is threaded and fitted with a slant-style muzzle compensator. A cleaning rod is installed under the barrel. Controls are classic AKM, including the right-side safety/selector lever and standard AKM magazine catch. Capacity is 30+1, and four 30-round magazines are included; at least one is a Magpul PMAG AK/AKM MOE polymer magazine.
Markings include PIONEER ARMS CORP RADOM, POLAND, with importer information stamped PIONEER ARMS CORP PORT ORANGE, FL., along with the Radom 11 Poland crest. The receiver and most components wear a matte black finish; the underfolder stock’s arms and buttplate are in-the-white/bright steel, and the front sight base shows areas of bright/unfinished metal.
