The Galil ACE SAR Gen 1 combines a robust long-stroke gas piston system with a steel receiver and the Gen 1 polymer lower housing. It includes ambidextrous safety selectors with color-coded S/F legends and a left-side charging handle for efficient manipulation.
The 14.5 inch barrel is cold hammer forged and chrome lined, with a 1:12 RH twist, and the "CHF/CL 1:12 H3" marking appears on the receiver (the barrel exterior is unmarked). A multi-port muzzle brake is pinned and welded to achieve a 16 inch overall barrel length.
Upgrades include an ALG single-stage trigger for a clean, consistent break and a Midwest Industries aluminum M-LOK handguard. The rifle features a Picatinny rail on the receiver and a separate, slightly lower Picatinny section on the MI handguard; these do not form a single continuous plane.
The K&S adjustable gas piston assembly is installed, offering the option to tune the gas system to specific loads or conditions. The original IWI gas piston is included in the parts bag. The rifle features a folding, telescoping stock with an adjustable cheekpiece and a rubber buttpad.
Iron sights consist of a fixed front sight on the gas block and a flip-style rear sight. The receiver carries the IWI US, Inc. Harrisburg, PA import mark. This package comes with both a 50-round drum and a 20-round polymer magazine.
