What’s Included
- Colt Detective Special Second Issue revolver
Built on Colt’s compact D-frame, this six-shot snub offers a balance of capacity and concealability. The Second Issue configuration is evident in its fixed rear groove, integral ramp front sight, and the classic Colt-pattern rearward-pull cylinder latch.
The polished blued carbon-steel frame, cylinder, and 2" barrel present a cohesive finish. The barrel carries factory markings "DETECTIVE SPEC." over ".38 SPECIAL CTG." The topstrap and barrel rib are matted/serrated to reduce glare along the sighting plane.
Controls and handling details include a serrated trigger face, exposed hammer for double-action/single-action operation, and an unshrouded, knurled ejector rod. The Colt Positive Safety Lock provides an added internal safety feature consistent with factory design of the period.
Ergonomics are anchored by checkered walnut service stocks with silver Colt medallions on a round-butt frame. The left frame shows the Colt Rampant Pony logo, and the revolver was made in the United States in 1960.
