The 84BB delivers the hallmark Cheetah handling in a compact package. It is hammer-fired and DA/SA with an exposed spur hammer, and it supports cocked-and-locked carry. Safety features include an ambidextrous frame-mounted manual safety, an automatic firing pin block, and a half-cock notch.
The slide uses Beretta’s open-top design with rear cocking serrations and a blued finish, paired with fixed sights (front blade and rear notch). The aluminum alloy frame keeps the gun trim while retaining the classic Beretta profile and controls.
This example is Made in Italy and is marked accordingly: the left slide reads "PIETRO BERETTA GARDONE V.T. - MADE IN ITALY." The frame is marked "MOD. 84 BB - CAL. 9 Short," and the barrel "CAL. 9 Short .380 Auto." The right side carries the PB monogram and "PATENTED." It also bears Italian proof/inspection marks, the PW ARMS REDMOND WA import mark, and a "G.F." stamp often associated with Italian Guardia di Finanza pistols.
Capacity is 13+1 with the included double-stack magazine, which has numbered witness holes at 4/8/13. The pistol currently wears checkered wood grips with Beretta medallions, and a pair of Beretta factory black plastic panels is included but not installed.
