The LC Carbine platform here is the .45 ACP variant with a blowback-operated, internal-hammer, semi-automatic action and Ruger’s Secure Action fire-control. It uses a reversible charging handle and an ambidextrous manual safety, with a right-side ejection port and a left-side selector marked S/F.
The 16.25 inch alloy-steel barrel is factory threaded .578-28 and fitted with a knurled thread protector. Rifling is 1:16 RH with six grooves. The bolt-over-barrel architecture contributes to the carbine’s compact overall length of 30.60 inches.
Furniture includes a polymer folding stock with adjustable length of pull and a Ruger pistol grip with Ruger phoenix logos. Length of pull is adjustable from 12.6 to 14.6 inches (this example is set at approximately 14.5 inches). Weight is 7.1 lb.
The aluminum M-LOK handguard has elongated slots on multiple sides and bridges to a full-length 12 o'clock Picatinny rail across the receiver and handguard. Ruger Rapid Deploy adjustable folding iron sights (flip-up front and rear) are installed.
