The G44 operates with a simple blowback, striker-fired system tuned for .22 LR. Its 4.02 in steel barrel uses polygonal rifling with a 1:15.98 RH twist, delivering reliable rimfire performance in a familiar Glock format. Capacity is 10+1 using factory polymer magazines.
The slide is a polymer–steel hybrid with front and rear cocking serrations, designed to balance weight and durability for rimfire use. The frame carries Gen5-style texturing with no finger grooves, a mildly flared magwell, and an integral one-slot accessory rail.
Controls include an ambidextrous slide stop lever and a reversible magazine release for flexible setup. Glock's Safe Action system with a trigger safety provides consistent operation. Sighting is via factory polymer sights with a white-dot front and an adjustable polymer rear.
