Built on the AR-15 platform, the Sport III configuration pairs a mid-length gas system with a 16.25 in Armornite-treated 4140 steel barrel. The barrel uses 5R rifling with a 1:8 twist to accommodate common 5.56mm loads, and the 1/2x28 threaded muzzle is factory-fitted with an A2 flash suppressor.
The rifle uses forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers with a hardcoat anodized finish. The flat-top upper includes a T-marked Picatinny rail, and the receiver set adds practical features such as a forward assist, ejection-port dust cover, case deflector, a trigger guard, and a chromed firing pin.
A 15 in free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard provides modern accessory mounting, complemented by the included M-LOK Picatinny section at 12 o'clock. Furniture consists of a 6-position collapsible polymer stock with sling loop and textured buttplate, plus an A2-style polymer grip. Overall length is approximately 32–35 in, with an unloaded weight around 6.4 lb and a listed length of pull of 12.0 in.
