Built on the Remington 1858 pattern, this revolver uses a solid top-strap frame and an under-barrel loading lever. The 8-inch octagonal steel barrel is marked 'BLACK POWDER ONLY .44 CAL.' and pairs with fixed sights consisting of a front post and a rear notch in the frame.
The revolver is constructed with a blued steel frame, blued steel cylinder, and blued steel receiver, complemented by a brass trigger guard and smooth hardwood grips. The non-fluted percussion cylinder is retained and removed via the forward pin/catch system.
Factory markings and proof stamps include Italian proof marks, CIP PN black-powder proof, the FAP diamond logo, and 'F.LLI PIETTA – MADE IN ITALY.' The Italian date code 'CS' is present, adding precise manufacturer identification to this reproduction.
This model is compatible with .45 Colt conversion cylinders (not included). When using a .45 Colt conversion cylinder, use only cowboy ammunition that does not exceed 850 fps; never use hot or jacketed ammunition.
