Built on the AR-10B platform, this A4 Carbine uses hard-anodized aluminum alloy receivers and a flat-top upper with a brass deflector and ejection-port cover. It omits the forward assist by design. Receiver markings include the ArmaLite running horse over globe logo, "AR-10," and "ArmaLite Inc., Geneseo, IL." The selector is marked SAFE/FIRE.
The 16-inch stainless barrel is marked "7.62MM NATO SS 1:10" and "ARMALITE." It is threaded and fitted with a multi-slot flash hider/compensator. A free-float aluminum quad-rail with a continuous top rail provides ample mounting space, complemented by installed Troy rail panels.
Chambered in 7.62x51 NATO, the rifle uses a semi-automatic, direct impingement action with a 20+1 capacity. The twist rate is 1:10 to stabilize a broad range of 7.62/.308 projectiles. Safety is via a standard selector.
Furniture includes an adjustable tubular buttstock with a rubber buttpad embossed "U.S." and the ordnance flaming bomb emblem, plus a sling stud beneath the butt. An A2-pattern polymer pistol grip completes the setup.
Optics are handled by the installed AETEC Master Series 4-14x44 SF IR scope with side focus and an illuminated reticle. It is secured in a one-piece Picatinny base with two thumb-nut crossbolts. There are no fixed iron sights.
