Built on the Remington Model 700 Police Sniper Special platform, this rifle is chambered in .308 Winchester and features a 26-inch heavy, unfluted barrel with a recessed crown and no iron sights. The barrel is roll-marked .308 WIN and Remington Ilion, NY, and the left-side barrel shank shows the date code "CQ," indicating 1996 production.
The rifle has been converted to detachable box magazine feeding via installed bottom metal and includes one 4-round steel magazine for a 4+1 capacity. The right-hand bolt uses a textured knob for positive manipulation, and the factory single-stage trigger is retained.
The optics setup is turnkey: a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10x tactical scope with a mil-dot reticle is installed on two-piece bases and rings, complete with Butler Creek flip-up caps. The magnification ring shows 3.5x–6x marks on the visible range. Both optic and mounts are paint-matched to the rifle.
The composite stock provides a textured surface, a pistol grip with a palm swell, and a wide beavertail forend. A strap-on cheek riser/stock pack with cartridge loops is fitted for head position and on-gun storage, and a Harris bipod is attached to the front sling stud. The rifle, scope, and bipod share a tan/green/brown camouflage finish.
