What's Included
- Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket .25 ACP pistol
This Model 1908, also known as the Colt Model N, represents Colt's classic micro-size pocket pistol produced between 1908 and 1948, with total production around 420,000 units. This example dates to 1917 and is chambered in .25 ACP with a 2 in barrel and 6+1 capacity.
It is a single-action, striker-fired design with a fixed-barrel blowback system. The Browning-designed rotate-to-remove barrel system is characteristic of this model and aids in field stripping.
The safety suite includes a grip safety, a manual thumb safety, and a magazine disconnect safety. A heel-style magazine release is fitted, consistent with the model's compact profile.
Factory details include vertical rear slide serrations and fixed sights: a small half-moon front blade and a rear notch milled into the slide. Markings are correct for the model, with the right slide marked "COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE 25," a two-line left slide address with patent dates through Jan. 25, 1910, and the Rampant Colt logo at the left-rear of the slide. Grips are checkered black hard rubber with the 'COLT' banner and Rampant Colt motif.
