The Tactical configuration pairs a steel 4.5 in barrel threaded 1/2x28 with a knurled thread protector and an aluminum-alloy slide finished in black. Front and rear slide serrations and a right-side relief cut aid manipulation while keeping the slide weight appropriate for reliable blowback operation.
The slide includes a factory optic cut with an optics cover plate, and the pistol uses tall, suppressor-height iron sights for a clear sight picture. Introduced in 2021, the 502 series was among the first .22 LR pistols to incorporate a factory slide-mounted optics system.
Controls are straightforward and duty-oriented: single-action only, hammer-fired blowback action; ambidextrous manual safety; and a left-side magazine release. An integral 1913/Picatinny accessory rail with four slots provides mounting space on the dust cover.
Markings include UX DE, CIP N, CB, and UMAREX – MADE IN GERMANY, along with FN COLUMBIA, SC USA, reflecting German production with FN branding. Country of origin is Germany. The serial prefix falls within FN’s January 2022 502 Tactical safety-bulletin range (below LR007999).
