What’s Included
- Eddystone M1917 Enfield sporterized bolt-action rifle (.30-06)
- Installed scope base
This rifle has been sporterized with a focus on practicality and clean lines. The original rear sight ears were machined off, the receiver bridges were drilled and tapped, and a scope base is installed. The metal shows a mixed finish: the receiver and barrel are polished in the white; the bolt body and handle are polished with a matte shroud/cocking piece (two-tone); the bottom metal is blued.
The unbranded 22-inch aftermarket sporter barrel is polished, unthreaded, and has no iron sights. Markings are clear and correct for the build: the receiver ring reads "U.S. MODEL OF 1917 EDDYSTONE" and the barrel is marked "30-06."
The aftermarket wood sporter stock features a Monte Carlo comb, a pistol grip, and side panel checkering on the grip and forend; the underside of the forend is smooth (no wraparound). It is fitted with a black hard-rubber buttplate with a white-line spacer; no sling swivel studs are installed. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
Mechanically, it retains the M1917’s robust bolt action with the model’s characteristic dog-leg bolt handle and a safety lever on the bolt shroud. Feeding is from an internal magazine with a hinged floorplate, providing a 6+1 capacity. No front or rear sights are installed.
