What's Included
- Fabrica Nacional De Armas Modelo 1910 Long Rifle chambered in 7mm Mauser (7x57mm), sporterized as described
Built on a Mauser 98-pattern small-ring action, this rifle uses controlled-round feed with a third safety lug and a wing/flag safety. It features an internal fixed staggered-column magazine with a stated 5+1 capacity. The action and receiver are steel, consistent with the military pattern of the period.
The 23 inch stepped military-profile steel barrel is installed without a rear sight, as the rear sight assembly has been removed. Up front, the rifle retains an unhooded block with a fixed square-blade front sight. The barrel and receiver carry Mexican national markings, including the FABRICACION NACIONAL DE ARMAS • MEXICO D.F. crest and a 1931 date on the receiver ring.
The one-piece hardwood stock has been sporter-cut to a short fore-end and includes a reinforcing cross-bolt. The buttstock sling-swivel mortise remains, but its hardware is absent. No sling loop is installed on the trigger guard/floorplate. Length of pull is 13.25 inches, providing a straightforward sporting fit.
As part of the sporterization, the upper handguard, upper barrel bands, nose cap/bayonet lug, and cleaning rod have been removed. The rear sight assembly is also removed, leaving no rear sight installed. A mismatched bolt number was observed.
