IAI Model 333 M1 Garand .22 LR Rimfire Conversion, Single-Shot Blowback, 22 inch Barrel, Parkerized
This Israel Arms International Model 333 is a commercial M1 Garand reproduction from 2000–2001 configured as a .22 LR rimfire conversion. It uses a blowback system with a dedicated sub-caliber insert and bolt, is set up for single-shot operation, and retains classic M1 Garand sights and profile with a parkerized/phosphate finish.
The receiver is heel-marked "CAL .30-06 / IAI / HOU TX," but this example is fitted with a .22 LR sub-caliber unit and a blowback bolt. It features an external right-side recoil spring/guide rod specific to the rimfire conversion, a ribbed synthetic upper handguard, and a slotted M14-style flash suppressor with an integral front sight.
The standard M1 Garand gas cylinder and gas lock are present but bypassed by the rimfire conversion. Sighting is handled by the M1 Garand pattern rear aperture with windage and elevation knobs paired with the integral front sight on the flash suppressor. The barrel measures 22 inches and wears a uniform parkerized/phosphate finish.
Photographs show no buttstock present. This configuration offers a distinctive .22 LR setup on an IAI commercial M1 platform while preserving familiar M1 controls and sighting layout.
