The SA-V uses a simple blowback action in 9mm Luger and retains familiar AK-pattern controls, including a right-side safety/selector lever and a paddle-style magazine release. The stamped, riveted receiver provides the classic AK layout while chambering a pistol-caliber cartridge.
The barrel measures approximately 10.5 inches and is fitted with a compact rectangular two-chamber muzzle brake featuring top ports and side vents. This setup helps manage muzzle movement while keeping the package compact.
Sighting is straightforward with a protected front post and a fixed rear notch. A full-length Picatinny rail is integrated into the dust/top cover, offering a continuous mounting surface along the top of the firearm.
Furniture includes high-gloss red-stained wood upper and lower handguards and a checkered red-stained wood pistol grip. A side-folding skeletonized arm brace with a Velcro cuff enhances transport and storage options, and the matte black receiver finish provides a clean, modern look.
The platform accepts CZ Scorpion-pattern magazines and features a last-round bolt hold-open. Capacity is listed at 35+1, and this example ships with three 35-round Soviet Arms triangle-logo polymer magazines. Country of origin is the United States, with receiver markings confirming West Columbia, South Carolina production.
