The Rhino 50DS is a double-action/single-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum with a 5-inch, shrouded steel barrel. The barrel is indexed to the lower cylinder chamber, producing the model’s signature low bore axis. An integral Picatinny accessory rail sits on the underside of the vented barrel shroud.
Construction is robust and weight-conscious, with a matte black 7075-T6 aluminum alloy frame paired to a matte black steel barrel and steel cylinder. The flat-sided, hexagonal six-shot cylinder contributes to the Rhino’s distinctive profile and holster-friendly geometry.
Sight picture is bright and adjustable: a red fiber-optic front and a fully adjustable rear with green fiber-optic dots. The revolver uses an external cocking lever and ships with a one-piece textured wooden grip inlaid with the Chiappa Rhino medallion.
