What’s Included
- Marlin 336Y Youth .30-30 lever-action rifle
The 336Y is a youth/compact version of Marlin’s 336 series, set up with a 12.75-inch length of pull and a pistol-grip hardwood stock. Pressed checkering, a hard plastic Marlin buttplate with molded logo and two exposed screws, and sling swivel studs round out the stock features. A standard-size lever loop maintains familiar handling.
Its 16.25-inch barrel uses Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling and feeds from a 5-round tubular magazine. The receiver is side-eject and solid-top, and it is drilled and tapped for scope bases with four holes, offering easy base installation if desired.
Factory iron sights include a hooded ramp front sight and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear with an elevator. The carbine wears a blued finish over a steel receiver, and the fore-end is checkered hardwood secured by barrel bands.
Produced in the United States during the Remington/Ilion era (2011–2020), this example carries the MR-prefix serial indicator for that production period. The barrel bears a North Haven, CT rollmark, and the rifle incorporates Marlin’s cross-bolt safety.
