What's Included
- Ruger SR1911 Lightweight Commander-Style .45 ACP pistol
- 1x 7-round 1911-pattern single-stack steel magazine
The Lightweight Commander-Style SR1911 pairs a matte stainless slide with a black anodized aluminum-alloy frame for a durable two-tone finish. It uses a Commander-length 4.25 in slide with a full-size grip, delivering the familiar 1911 ergonomics in a lighter, carryable format. Empty weight is approximately 29.3 oz.
The stainless barrel and bushing are machined together as a matched set, and the pistol uses a traditional bushing system. Feeding and ignition are supported by a polished titanium feed ramp in the alloy frame, a titanium firing pin, and a heavy firing-pin spring. It is a Series 70-style 1911 without a firing pin block, and it features an integral plunger tube for added durability.
Controls are classic 1911 with useful refinements: single-action-only operation, a beavertail grip safety with memory pad, an extended left-side thumb safety, a half-cock notch, and an inspection port. The trigger is a skeletonized, three-hole aluminum unit, paired with a skeletonized commander-style hammer. The flat checkered mainspring housing and smooth frontstrap complement the double-diamond checkered hardwood grips with Ruger medallions.
Sighting is handled by dovetailed Novak LoMount-pattern 3-dot sights, with rear cocking serrations and no front serrations on the Commander-length slide. Markings include the Ruger phoenix logo and indicate manufacture in Prescott, Arizona, USA. Chambered in .45 ACP with a 7+1 capacity, it retains the clean lines and handling characteristics expected of this platform.
