The Mod. HSc pairs a compact steel frame with a DA/SA blowback system and a fixed barrel, with the recoil spring wrapped around the barrel. The 3.4" barrel and 7+1 capacity make it a practical .380 ACP configuration in a classic Mauser design.
Controls are true to later HSc production: a slide-mounted safety/decocker, a heel-style magazine release, and a semi-exposed, partially shrouded hammer. As a post-1968 feature, the slide locks open on empty and automatically releases when a magazine is inserted.
Build details include a polished blued slide over a blued steel frame, rear diagonal slide serrations, fixed sights (front blade and rear notch), and checkered walnut stocks that complete the period-correct look and feel.
Markings confirm origin and import: Ulm antler proof, eagle/N nitro proof, the Interarms Alexandria, Virginia import mark, and the "HG" date code indicating 1976 production in Germany during the 1970s era.
