The Knight's Armament SR-15 E3 Mod 2 Carbine pairs KAC's proprietary E3 bolt and Mod 2 mid-length gas system with a 16-inch, chrome-lined, hammer-forged barrel for a refined, duty-grade 5.56mm platform. It features the 13.5-inch KAC URX 3.1 free-float handguard and KAC folding iron sights, with ambidextrous controls built into an aluminum-alloy receiver set made in the USA.

The SR-15 E3 Mod 2 Carbine uses KAC's Mod 2 mid-length gas system with a locking-ring gas block, matched to the E3 round-lug bolt for a proven operating core. The 16-inch steel barrel is chrome-lined and hammer-forged with a 1:7 twist, and the muzzle is threaded.
Controls are fully modernized with an ambidextrous safety and magazine release, plus a right-side ambidextrous bolt release. The forged-type upper includes a forward assist, shell deflector, and ejection-port cover. The 6-position telescoping stock provides an adjustable length of pull of approximately 11–14 inches, and the rifle uses an A2 pistol grip.
The KAC URX 3.1 13.5-inch free-float aluminum handguard anchors the front end, and factory KAC folding front and rear iron sights are installed. The rifle wears a uniform black finish over its aluminum-alloy receivers and handguard.
Receiver and component markings include "SR-15 5.56mm KNIGHT'S MFG. CO. TITUSVILLE, FL USA" and "STONER RIFLE" on the receiver, "MOD 2" on the upper, and "URX3.1 13.5 P/N-30326" on the handguard. This AR-15 platform rifle is built in the USA and is configured for a 30+1 capacity.
