The GHM9 uses a closed-bolt blowback system and incorporates B&T’s hydraulic recoil buffer. It is Swiss-made and marked "B&T — Thun, Switzerland," reflecting its origin and factory configuration.
The standard 175 mm (approximately 7 in) barrel is threaded and fitted with a knurled thread protector. The 1:9.8 twist rate supports a wide range of 9mm loads, and the pistol is rated for a 30+1 capacity with the included magazines.
Controls are straightforward and modern: an ambidextrous manual safety, a single-action trigger, and a left-side folding charging handle. The pistol is configured with a SIG Sauer AR-pattern grip, providing a familiar interface.
The slotted aluminum handguard is a separate, bolt-on component and accepts the included Picatinny rail segment for accessory placement. An AFG-style polymer handstop is located on the polymer front of the lower housing beneath the barrel. The integral top rail on the upper receiver provides a mounting interface for optics. This example uses the B&T magazine-pattern lower (non-G variant) and comes with a mix of extended and standard-length steel magazines made in Italy.
