This Marlin 1895 Dark Series is a recent-production, RM-prefix Ruger-made rifle in .45-70 Govt with the Mayodan, NC rollmark. It pairs a compact 16-inch, cold hammer-forged, threaded barrel with a factory radial muzzle brake, a long top Picatinny rail, and modern furniture finished in graphite-black Cerakote. A full-length 5+1 tubular magazine, side ejection, and robust ghost-ring/fiber-optic sights round out a feature set tailored to practical field use.
Condition
Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Overall Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: Minor scratches and blemishes are present on exterior surfaces. There is visible blemishing on the top optic rail and around the ejection area. The extended hammer spur is very loose and does not tighten down.

The 16-inch alloy-steel barrel is cold hammer-forged and threaded 11/16x24, with a radial muzzle brake installed. The 1:20 RH twist supports the .45-70 Govt chambering, and the rifle feeds from a full-length tubular magazine with a 5+1 capacity. Side ejection aids clearance with the long top rail.
Modern furniture includes a nylon-reinforced polymer stock with an adjustable cheek riser, recoil pad, and a QD sling cup. The aluminum M-LOK handguard provides multiple M-LOK slots and additional QD points for sling placement. A big/mid-sized loop lever offers enhanced purchase while maintaining classic 1895 handling.
Sighting equipment consists of a ghost-ring rear and a fiber-optic front sight. A long, receiver-to-barrel Picatinny rail is installed for mounting optics or accessories, and a cross-bolt safety is integrated into the lever-action system. Length of pull is 13.5 inches.
