Built on the AR-15 platform and made in the United States, this Sugar Weasel uses a semi-automatic, direct impingement system with a low-profile gas block. The 7 inch barrel is threaded and fitted with a stainless, multi-ported brake/compensator that helps keep the muzzle flat. A short, free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard provides a rigid mounting base while keeping weight forward of the receiver to a minimum.
Controls and handling are set up for versatility. An ambidextrous safety selector and an ambidextrous charging handle with an extended latch make operation straightforward from either side. The brace is fixed and includes a rear strap, and the pistol grip is polymer and marked MADE IN USA. The receiver extension is carbine-length and secured with a castle nut.
The upper receiver deletes the forward assist while retaining an ejection port dust cover and a flat-top 1913 rail on the receiver. A bolt-on 1913 rail section is installed on the handguard for accessory placement, and an M-LOK hand stop is already in place. Magazines are clearly marked for 300 BLK/7.62x35, and capacity is 30+1.
Visually, the pistol presents a clean two-tone look with light tan receivers and a gray brace, complemented by the stainless muzzle device with a copper-tone collar. The bore condition is excellent with sharp rifling, aligning with the pistol’s overall excellent presentation.
