This 2015 American Snipers Organization (ASO) Limited Edition Aero Precision M5 stands out for its charity-collaboration provenance and high-end component selection. It features factory ASO skull logos on both sides of the magwell, ASO-prefixed serials, and forged 7075-T6 receivers with MIL-A-8625 Type III hardcoat anodizing. Purpose-built upgrades include a Rainier Arms UltraMatch 20-inch stainless barrel, JP Enterprises LMOS bolt carrier group, Troy quad-rail handguard, Magpul PRS precision-adjustable stock, and a YHM muzzle brake.

This ASO Limited Edition M5 is a special-run collaboration to support AmericanSnipers.org, identifiable by factory-engraved ASO skull logos with a bullet-hole motif on both sides of the magwell and ASO-prefixed serials. The large-frame AR is built on Aero Precision’s DPMS/LR-308–pattern M5 receivers, forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and finished in MIL-A-8625 Type III hardcoat anodizing. The upper is a forged pattern without a forward assist and includes a shell deflector and a full-length Picatinny top rail. The right side receiver is marked "AERO PRECISION LLC / TACOMA, WA."
Accuracy-focused components headline the build: a Rainier Arms UltraMatch 20-inch stainless steel barrel marked ".308 1x11 SS MP" with the RA logo, paired with a JP Enterprises LMOS bolt carrier group. The barrel uses a 1:11 twist and is threaded, wearing a Yankee Hill Machine muzzle brake/compensator to manage recoil and muzzle rise. Operation is semi-automatic, direct impingement.
The rifle’s precision chassis includes a Magpul PRS AR-10/SR-25 stock with adjustable comb and length of pull, and a Magpul MOE pistol grip. Controls are enhanced with a Phase 5 extended bolt release and an ambidextrous safety selector for versatile handling. The listed length of pull is approximately 14.5 inches.
Up front, a Troy Industries quad-rail free-float handguard provides robust accessory mounting with T- and R-numbered slots. Picatinny rail cover inserts are installed for grip and protection.
