Built in Spain, this El Chimbo presents a traditional break-action layout with external hammers and extractor-only operation. The gun is chambered in .410 bore with a 2-round capacity and wears 28" barrels topped by a matted rib and a brass bead front sight for a clean, glare-reducing sighting plane.
The receiver shows a color case-hardened finish, paired with blued barrels for a classic two-tone presentation. The walnut stock and splinter forend display hand-cut checkering, with checkered grip panels for purchase and a wood buttplate featuring incised cross-hatching. Length of pull measures 14.0".
Proof and model markings are comprehensive: Eibar BOPE nitro proof marks and the 1000 KGS pressure designation are present, the trade/model name "EL CHIMBO" is stamped on the watertable, and the barrel flats are marked "410-72". The action and barrels carry matching serial numbers, confirming component originality.
Key functional details include the extractor-only configuration (no automatic ejectors), external hammers, and a matted top rib. Together with the .410 chambering, these features define the El Chimbo’s straightforward, traditional character.
