What’s Included
- Rock Island Arsenal M1903 sporterized bolt-action rifle
Built on a Rock Island Arsenal M1903 action, this rifle retains the classic controlled-round-feed bolt with a long external claw extractor and cock-on-open operation. Safety configuration is per the sporterized setup. It feeds from the internal 5-round magazine with a hinged floorplate and triggerguard.
The sporter conversion replaces the original military furniture with a commercial walnut stock featuring a left-side raised cheekpiece, black forend tip, straight comb, pistol-grip wrist, smooth surfaces without checkering, and fixed sling loops on the fore-end and buttstock toe. A checkered black buttplate with an oval logo medallion is fitted, and length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Sighting equipment includes a receiver-mounted micrometer aperture rear sight on a side base and a front ramp with a dovetailed blade and small bead tip. Military components such as the handguard, rear barrel sight base, and bayonet hardware were removed during the sporterization.
The barrel measures 24 inches and has a sporter profile. The receiver ring is marked U.S. ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL MODEL 1903, and the serial falls within Rock Island's nickel-steel range. The rifle is full-size and built on the M1903 platform.
