What’s Included
- FMJ MOD. DD double-barrel derringer
The MOD. DD uses a break-action, single-action-only design with two side-by-side barrels and a capacity of two rounds, one per barrel. Dual knurled barrel-latch sliders on each side of the breech provide straightforward opening, and the external spur hammer cocks the action; the two barrels fire in sequence.
Built with a steel frame and steel barrels, this compact derringer is sized for micro carry while maintaining durable construction. It uses a folding/retractable trigger (no trigger guard), and a cross-bolt safety provides a simple, mechanical safety feature.
It is chambered in .45 LC/.410, offering the versatility this platform is known for. Sighting is minimal by design with a fixed front blade and no rear sight. Black synthetic birds-head grips with a medallion insert complete the compact profile.
Factory inscriptions include "SAFETY ON BEFORE LOADING.", "FMJ DUCKTOWN, TN.", and "MOD. DD CALS.", identifying its Tennessee origin and FMJ branding. Production from the Ducktown operation has been discontinued, aligning this derringer with the Cobray/Leinad/FMJ lineage often noted by collectors and enthusiasts.
