The BREN 2 Ms uses a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston system paired with an adjustable multi-position gas regulator. This setup is designed for reliable cycling across a range of conditions and ammunition types. An ambidextrous safety and a non-reciprocating, side-swappable charging handle with forward-assist capability support flexible, user-driven handling.
The 16.5 in cold hammer-forged barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and features a 1:7 twist to pair with common 5.56 NATO loadings. An uninstalled 3-prong flash hider is included. The carbine is equipped with integral folding iron sights and a full-length T-numbered Picatinny top rail. The M-LOK handguard includes QD sling sockets for streamlined sling placement.
Ergonomics are enhanced by a folding, telescoping, multi-position stock with QD sling sockets and a rubber buttpad. The carbine can be fired while folded. Overall length is approximately 38.5 in extended and 28.3 in folded, with a listed weight of about 7.3 lb. Length of pull is 12.0 in.
