Made by Arsenal in Kazanlak, Bulgaria, this PM reflects Factory Circle 10 production standards from the late Cold War era. It is a compact, all-steel, blued service pistol with brown checkered bakelite grip panels featuring five-pointed star medallions and a lanyard loop at the base.
The operating system is the classic Makarov pattern: semi-automatic, straight blowback with a fixed barrel for 9x18mm Makarov. It uses a single-stack 8+1 magazine and a heel-type magazine release. The trigger is DA/SA, and a slide-mounted safety/decocker provides on-gun administrative safety control.
Sights are fixed (front blade, rear notch). The slide has rear serrations only, an anti-glare rib, and a loaded-chamber indicator pin. Markings include the Circle 10 factory mark and a PW ARMS (Redmond, WA) import stamp; matching factory serials are present on slide and frame, along with the Bulgarian two-digit year code "28." An additional importer-applied serial is present.
The bore condition stands out: a clean, mirror finish with sharp lands and grooves. Overall fit and finish present strongly, aligning with the described excellent condition.
