The Tisas 1911A1 TC9M Tank Commander is a compact, Commander-length 9mm built on forged steel slide, frame, and barrel with a satin electroless nickel finish for corrosion resistance. This Tank Commander variant uses a Commander-length 4.25 in barrel on a compact 1911 platform chambered in 9mm Luger, with a 9+1 capacity and single-action operation. The slide, frame, and barrel are all forged steel, emphasizing durability and consistent lockup.
The satin electroless nickel finish is applied to both slide and frame and is noted for corrosion resistance. Its uniform sheen complements the model’s traditional lines and GI-style appointments.
Controls and features follow the GI pattern: smooth frontstrap, arched A1-style mainspring housing, short solid-face trigger, GI recoil spring plug, and rear-only vertical cocking serrations. Sights are fixed and low profile, with a ramped plain front blade and a matching low-profile rear notch.
Markings include Tisas Knoxville TN, ZIG M9, and TURKIYE. The case label denotes model 1911A1 TC9M in 9x19mm and matches the firearm’s serial. This is a recent release in the Tank Commander series, identified by mfg part number 1911A1 TC9M.
