The Experior Commander Double Stack uses a 4.25 in match-grade stainless barrel with a traditional bushing, a reverse crown, and a fluted chamber exterior. Wilson Combat cites a 1.5 in at 25-yard accuracy guarantee for this model family, underscoring the precision-focused barrel and fit.
The aluminum X-frame delivers high-capacity performance with a continuous backstrap and beavertail and does not use a traditional 1911 grip safety. The frame integrates a three-slot accessory rail and TRAK-style texture for secure handling, while double-stack EDC X9-pattern magazines provide an 18+1 capacity.
The tri-top slide features anti-glare top serrations plus forward and rear cocking serrations for confident manipulation. Controls include an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, a skeletonized medium-length trigger, and a low-profile rowel (concealment) hammer. Wilson Bullet Proof small parts are used throughout.
Wilson’s Battlesight U-notch rear is paired with a high-visibility front sight for a crisp, fast sight picture. The pistol wears a factory matte black finish over both slide and frame and is made in the United States. Documentation includes a Wilson quality-control checklist and factory test target dated 2023–2024.
