The Model 444P Outfitter pairs the powerful .444 Marlin cartridge with a compact, 18.5-inch factory-ported carbon steel barrel. The round, blued barrel wears a ramped front sight, matched to an elevation-adjustable semi-buckhorn rear, delivering a traditional and practical sight picture.
Built on a solid-top, side-eject receiver, this rifle includes a cross-bolt safety and a 4-round tubular magazine. The receiver top is drilled and tapped with four plug screws installed, and a right-side barrel rollmark is present.
Furniture is straight-grip walnut with cut checkering and a diamond motif. The walnut fore-end matches cleanly, and the stock is fitted with a ventilated rubber recoil pad. Sling swivel studs are installed, and the length of pull measures 13.25 inches.
Manufactured in 1999 at North Haven, Connecticut, this Outfitter represents the late-1990s production period noted for this variant’s short run. It retains a uniform blued finish on both the barrel and the carbon steel receiver.
