    What's Included
    • Winchester Model 1890 Third Model rifle (.22 Short)

This rifle is the Third Model configuration of the Model 1890, identifiable by the external locking relief cut on the top of the receiver and the underside "WINCHESTER TRADE MARK" stamping. It retains the period takedown system with the joint and collar at the front of the receiver, allowing the barrel/forend assembly to separate from the receiver and stock.

The 24-inch octagon barrel is chambered for .22 Short and is marked "22 SHORT" alongside the Winchester address/patent line (partially legible). The under-barrel tubular magazine has a stated capacity of 15 rounds of .22 Short.

Sighting equipment consists of a dovetailed front blade and an adjustable barrel-mounted rear sight with an elevator, consistent with the model’s original configuration and era. These iron sights pair with the long octagon barrel to deliver a classic rimfire sight picture.

The action is a pump-operated rimfire design with an exposed hammer. Furniture includes a straight-grip walnut stock with a crescent steel buttplate and a ribbed walnut forend. Length of pull measures 12.75 inches.

Manufactured in the United States in 1907, this Model 1890 represents Winchester’s well-regarded small-bore slide-action line, combining the Third Model mechanical updates with traditional materials and period-correct markings.
