Made in Egypt by the Maadi Company for Engineering Industries (Factory 54), this Helwan 951 Brigadier follows the proven short-recoil, locked-breech system with a falling locking block and open-top slide. The slide is marked "HELWAN CAL. 9 m/m [PARA]" and "MADE IN EGYPT," and the pistol bears a U.S. import mark from Alexandria, Virginia.
Controls and layout are straightforward: single-action-only trigger, a frame-mounted cross-bolt safety, and an external spur hammer. Fixed sights consist of a front blade and rear notch, with vertical slide serrations at the rear only.
The steel frame and receiver, ribbed black synthetic grip panels, and lanyard ring at the butt give this full-size sidearm a solid, service-oriented build. It uses a single-column magazine and offers a 10+1 capacity in 9mm Luger.
This example has matching serial numbers on the slide and frame, vertical rear-only slide serrations, and the distinctive open-top slide profile associated with the Brigadier pattern.
