The Model 88 pairs a compact profile with stainless steel barrel, frame, and cylinder, all in a brushed/matte stainless finish. It is chambered in .38 Spl. with a five-shot fluted cylinder, and the rear face of the cylinder is numbered 1–5 for easy reference.
Controls are straightforward and robust, including a checkered forward-push cylinder release and an exposed, checkered-spur hammer. A short underlug with an exposed knurled ejector-rod tip rounds out the classic snub-nose configuration.
Sighting is fixed and practical: a serrated ramp front sight and an integral topstrap rear notch. The trigger has a smooth face, and the revolver operates in double-action/single-action for versatile use.
Markings include barrel legends of "M88 .38 SPL" and "AMADEO ROSSI S.A." The left-side import marking reads "MADE IN BRAZIL INTERARMS ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA," confirming Interarms import provenance. Factory Rossi black rubber wraparound grips with finger grooves and Rossi medallions provide a secure, comfortable hold.
