The GTO series P211 is SIG Sauer's entry into the 2011 platform, built around a single-action-only trigger system with an external hammer. It features a stainless steel frame with a full-length dustcover and an alloy grip module wearing textured G10 grip panels.
The slide is SIG-LOC PRO optics-ready with an optic cut, front and rear serrations, and is designed to be co-witness capable with the factory optic configuration. A fiber-optic front sight (green) is installed; the rear sight is not installed as configured.
Barrel and recoil management are central to this build. The 4.4 inch bull barrel is paired with a MACH3D 3D-printed compensator to help reduce muzzle rise. The pistol includes a removable steel magwell, a bilateral slide stop/release, and a full-length dustcover with a 3-slot Picatinny rail for lights or accessories.
Controls and safeties are comprehensive: a skeletonized trigger; ambidextrous thumb safety; grip safety; and a firing pin safety. The platform accepts 2011-pattern 9mm double-stack steel magazines, and this example includes two 21-round magazines plus one 23-round magazine to complement the pistol's 23+1 maximum capacity.
Despite its robust construction, the P211 GTO remains easy to run thanks to its serrated slide, generous magazine well, and clear sighting setup for use with optics. Dimensions are approximately 8.5 inches in overall length and 5.25 inches in height, with an unloaded weight of about 45.9 ounces.
