The CZ 75 B SA is configured for single-action-only operation with a manual thumb safety and a firing pin block. This setup provides a consistent SA trigger pull and positive mechanical safeties appropriate to the design.
The pistol uses an all-steel slide and frame with inside-frame rails, an external extractor, and rear slide serrations. It operates on a short-recoil, Browning-type tilting barrel system and has a non-railed dust cover.
Sights are fixed 3-dot, with a front post and a square-notch rear. The barrel measures approximately 4.7 inches, and the magazine capacity is 12+1 in .40 S&W.
Factory markings include the slide legend "CZ 75 B SA CAL.40 S&W" with the CZ logo and "MADE IN CZECH REPUBLIC." Matching serial numbers appear on the slide, frame, and barrel hood. Aftermarket black textured polymer "SSI" grips provide a secure feel and are currently installed.
