This NRA Special Edition Model 16 pairs a stainless, matte-finished short action with a 24 inch sporter barrel in .300 WSM. The action uses the recognizable Savage barrel nut system and is drilled and tapped, with two-piece scope bases already installed for straightforward optic mounting.
The laminated hardwood stock provides strength and stability, featuring cut checkering for grip, two cross-bolt reinforcements, and factory sling swivel studs. An inset NRA medallion in the buttstock marks its special-edition status.
Controls and operation are classic Savage: a right-hand bolt with a knurled round knob, a gas-shielded rear shroud, and a tang-mounted safety with a red fire indicator. The trigger uses a smooth curved shoe without an AccuTrigger blade.
The rifle uses an internal blind magazine with a 3-round capacity. It is configured without iron sights, and the barrel is non-threaded. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches. Made in the USA.
