The flat-top upper provides a full-length Picatinny rail and includes a forward assist, ejection-port cover, and case deflector. M4 feed ramps and a carbine-length gas system support reliable feeding and cycling.

The rifle is built on 7075-T6 aluminum receivers with a Type III hard-coat anodized finish. It wears a carbine-length, two-piece polymer handguard and a 6-position collapsible stock with a 10.5-inch length of pull. Overall length is approximately 32.25–35.50 inches, with an approximate weight of 6.5 lb.
This example includes three 30-round Magpul PMAG GEN M2 MOE magazines and a Ruger-branded soft case, rounding out a ready-to-use package. The configuration aligns with the AR-556 pattern while retaining factory-correct features from its 2017 production period.
