The fixed sights consist of a pinned blade front and a topstrap notch rear, a straightforward sighting arrangement typical of the model and era.
The swing-out cylinder holds six rounds and features six flutes and a knurled ejector-rod knob. Frame, barrel, and cylinder are all carbon steel, aligning with Colt's construction standards of the period.
Factory markings are present: "POLICE POSITIVE – CAL. .22" is rollmarked on the left side of the barrel, with the Colt address and patent rollmark on the top. The rampant Colt logo appears on the left frame. The serial number location is on the crane (yoke), consistent with pre-war production practices.
This early configuration includes the checkered black hard-rubber grips bearing the large "COLT" oval and a round-butt profile. As a 1920s United States–made revolver (manufactured in 1921), it aligns with features sought by collectors who focus on pre-war Colt rimfire variants.
