The Model 45 pairs a 16.5-inch steel barrel and Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling with a simple blowback, semi-automatic action. Chambered in .45 ACP, it runs on 1911-pattern single-stack magazines and ships with a 7-round magazine for a 7+1 capacity.
The hardwood stock wears a walnut finish and a straight-comb, semi-pistol-grip profile. Length of pull is 13.75 inches, and the factory rubber recoil pad bears the Marlin horse-and-rider logo. The magazine well and trigger-guard housing are black synthetic, and the magazine release is positioned forward of the trigger guard.
Sighting is handled by iron sights: a ramped front and an adjustable folding rear leaf. A Weaver-style multi-slot scope base is already installed for those who prefer to mount an optic.
Controls and safety features include a cross-bolt safety, a manual bolt hold-open, a last-shot bolt hold-open, and a magazine disconnect. The rifle wears a blued/black finish, measures approximately 35.5 inches overall, and weighs about 6.75 pounds. It was produced in the United States at Marlin’s North Haven, Connecticut facility.
